Sam Grassie, Dylan Fowler & Haroun Iqbal - Limburg Sessions

Guitars from here to there Acoustic – intimate – folk – world music - pure An evening on which three strong guitarists from different musical corners come together for a layered and diverse concert. Sam Grassie is a young Scottish guitarist and singer-songwriter who is making a splash within the contemporary Anglo-Saxon folk scene. Welshman Dylan Fowler is an internationally known grandmaster on acoustic and classical guitar. Klara-twentysomething Haroun Iqbal is a composer and multi-instrumentalist with influences from jazz, Indian, and West African music. Together they create an exceptional guitar concert, in which they will present their compositions, with traditional influences and improvisation both solo and in ensemble. In collaboration with Wesp/Merodefestival, CC de Bogaard is a proud partner to bring more high-quality folk and world music to Limburg. Under the name Limburg Sessies, we present intimate acoustic concerts in 2026–2027 at special locations that carry a story themselves. In Sint-Truiden, the Academiezaal forms the atmospheric decor for this unique series.
