After their successful passage at the Masereelhuis in 2024 and 2025, they have promised to return next year! That will be on November 28, 2026. Hummingbird : Joke Ivens (guitar, vocals & flute), Gert Meulemans (bass, vocals), Ward Ulenaers (cahang and vocals), Joren Verhelst (cajon). Hummingbird brings polyphonic ‘songs about today, with the beautiful but also more difficult moments that go with it.’ Sometimes subdued songs, in addition also cheerful up-tempo tunes. A touch of melancholy is never far away. Besides mainly original songs, they also bring covers in their own jacket, as it were in a ‘hummingbird-feather suit’. In November 2019 the first CD Vrij was released. The new record Leef !! with 13 original Dutch-language songs , appeared in April 2023 on CD & VINYL. Ward plays the cahang – a self-built percussion instrument. More info at Cahang Listen to their brand new single Location Practical information Doors open: 7:30 pm Everyone is most welcome Admission: free contribution (pay what you can) (photo: Hummingbird)
