THE IMPORTANCE OF A SONG
Four musicians, two duos, one shared love, and an anthology from a well-known film score... That is what KAS is putting on stage on May 28th with the program “For the sake of the song”.
There is the musical encounter between saxophonist John Snauwaert and the Canadian singer-songwriter Emilie Mover, and in addition, the interplay between pianist Sara De Smedt and violinist/guitarist Nils De Caster.
Together they provide an intimate, yet honest musical experiment. Guided by pure music, with silence as the fifth musician, they go in search of the essence of the song.
“For the sake of the song” is an ode to music that breathes, embraces the world, and asks questions at the same time. Songs that show how we move through the world – no facades, but pure and authentic.
As an extra guest, the quartet also invited actor/director Johan Heldenbergh. He brings a number of songs from the film “The Broken Circle Breakdown”.
An evening not to be missed!
