After his glorious victory at the Leids Cabaret Festival, Roy toured mainly in the Netherlands with two full-length programs. During his last tour, however, fate struck twice: in Rotterdam, he was electrocuted on stage by his electric guitar, and shortly thereafter, he suffered a thrombosis in his leg on the island of Texel. All in all, Roy took it sportingly, ended his comedy career, and went to explore other horizons in search of the meaning of it all. About 15 years later, he still hasn't figured out exactly what the universe wanted to tell him. And so, in 'Zaalshow 1', he returns to where he ended and once began: alone and on a stage. Singing, silent, and laughing! With himself and the world. Armed with his guitar, an acoustic one this time, he storms the stage with his characteristic linguistic, surreal, and somewhat disruptive humor. Count on that to create sparks!
