Ricochet, a beautiful title, in the image of the first powerful text of Lénaïc Brulé: or how one drama makes another emerge, in rebound. Claire loses her son Sacha, and through this impossible mourning, another pain surfaces, sharp, forbidden: the regret of having been a mother. Lénaïc Brulé raises an eminently taboo question that reverses our perceptions of motherhood. Through 19 moments of Claire's life, 19 shards of a fragmented memory, it is also the process of a mourning where life scrolls in reverse that we observe. The show explores with great humanity the ambivalence of being a mother. In a refined space where every sign counts, the actors embody characters in full tragedy. The narrative is thought of as a tribunal: we witness the trial that society makes to a woman, what she is supposed to be or feel. Lénaïc Brulé envisions the theater as a space that opens conversations, new paths. Leading work over time in the associative environment, having at heart to carry the voice of invisibilized people, mainly women, Ricochet is a magnificent artistic response to her commitment. The fragmentation of the text, its sharpness, confront the tenderness of the gaze of the staging and seize us.
