After his glorious victory of the Leids Cabaret Festival, ROY toured mainly in the Netherlands with two full-evening programs.
When fate struck twice during that last tour, the universe seemed to want to tell him something. (He was electrocuted on stage in Rotterdam by his electric guitar, and not long after, he got a thrombosis in his leg on the island of Texel.)
All in all, Roy took it sportingly, ended his comedy career, and went to explore other horizons in search of the meaning of it all.
Some 15 years later, he still hasn't figured out exactly what it was that the universe wanted to tell him. And so, in Theater Show 1, he returns to where he ended and once began: alone and on a stage.
Singing, silent, and laughing!
With himself and the world.
Armed with his guitar, an acoustic one this time, he storms the stage with his characteristic linguistic, surreal, and somewhat disruptive humor.
Count on that to spark!
