Wonder seekers - De Leugen - Sofie Palmers & Katrien Pierlet

'Wonderzoekers' (Wonder Seekers) is a playful podcast series for children in which Sofie Palmers & Katrien Pierlet wonder about the inside of the human being. In addition to a podcast, they are also turning this into a theater performance. In this live episode, together with their guests, they take you into the fascinating world of 'De Leugen.' An adventurous, scientific, and occasionally off-the-wall search for the truth behind the lie. Lying... we all do it sometimes. Sometimes to spare someone, sometimes to stay out of trouble ourselves. But did you know that there are tricks to unmask a lie? Sofie and Katrien give you handy tips to lie better and investigate whether a well-told lie can be just as powerful as the truth. In addition to the story of 'De Leugen', you also get a look behind the scenes. In this performance, you will actually see them making a podcast live: with microphones, live music, and artisanal foley sounds. Because what does a professional liar sound like? And what does a candy heist in the supermarket or a white lie sound like? Katrien and Sofie literally pull out all the stops to make that one little sound. And sometimes you can just close your eyes and listen. Sofie Palmers (SKaGeN, fABULEUS, ...) and Katrien Pierlet (Studio Orka, Ultima Thule, ...) have both earned their stripes in the theater world. Their love for storytelling brought them from the stage to the world of audio. For example, they previously made the mini-series 'Radio Fiona'. Now they are joining forces in 'Wonderzoekers', a podcast in which science, philosophy, and fantasy come together. The podcast series will be launched in the autumn of 2026 and will be available to listen to on all podcast streaming channels.
