Seeing is forgetting - Elori Saxl & Henry Solomon

Tue, 10 Nov 2026 · 20:00
Cultuurcentrum Hasselt (CCHA), Hasselt
€10–20
De New Yorkse Elori Saxl moves effortlessly between classical and electronic worlds. Her acclaimed albums The blue of distance (2021) and Drifts & surfaces (2024) show influences of the electronic duo Matmos, the minimalism of Steve Reich, and the harmonies of Philip Glass. Saxophonist and composer Henry Solomon lives in Los Angeles, where he is part of the vibrant jazz scene (see also the first jazz album by Flea and the hip International Anthem label). Henry previously collaborated with artists such as HAIM and Miley Cyrus. Together, they now present their new project that exquisitely combines ambient and jazz, with an occasional pop melody. The album testifies to their almost telepathic intuition. Every moment breathes a calm elegance and an emotional depth that makes you stand still for a moment. Seeing is forgetting is of stunning beauty and intimate interaction where Solomon's baritone sax and bass clarinet weave like vines around Saxl's heartbreaking Juno 106 harmonies. keys & electronics Elori Saxl / saxophone Henry Solomon / © Gregory Wikstrom saxlandsolomon.com, elorisaxl.com & henrysolomon.com
