I am Farnoosh.
I live in a house,
at the foot of a mountain.
I am Farnoosh.
Small in stature, fiery in nature.
Sitting still is not for me.
But that's how I am: always wild, never quiet, and occasionally a strong will.
I am Farnoosh.
My room overlooks two worlds:
the colossal mountain that stands like a guard outside my window
and the steel birds that have been whizzing by for a while.
Echoes of the Mountains is a visual symphony in which live music and illustrations on stage merge. A timeless story about a girl who, in the midst of a turbulent period in Iran, struggles with questions about identity and connection. In which the music, as the universal echo of the human heart, gives sound to the increasingly loud call for peace.
“Khodadadeh manages to convincingly translate a story about a little girl in Iran in the 1980s to the here and now in Belgium. Echoes of the Mountains is moving. At the end, she returns to her instrument, the daf, and lets us dance to the notes of her courage.”- Charlotte Durnajkin, Etcetera
