Monday concert // Spookyman & His Acousmatic Orchestra (IT)

A concept as old as the DVD, Dolly the sheep, and the Nintendo 64 – and one that has stood the test of time even better: our Monday concerts. For thirty years, Monday has been a second Friday with us, thanks to bands that come and fill our café in an incomparable way. SPOOKYMAN, the pseudonym of Giulio Allegretti, is an Italian singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound artist from Rome. He describes his music as Atomic Music: a mix of blues, electronica, exotica, acousmatic sound, lo-fi aesthetics, and retro-futuristic imagery. Passionate about art, cinema, and experimental electronics, he builds and modifies musical devices, visual instruments, and imaginary stage elements, including a TV Oscilloscope, the Acousmophone, and the virtual presence Olivia. Since 2008, Spookyman has been active as a one-man band and has performed throughout Europe and the Verenigde Staten, bringing his music to clubs, small theaters, festivals, and independent cultural spaces.
