A few vocal cords, a guitar, or a piano: the only thing you need to create a hit. De Open Mic evenings in Het Depot have meanwhile become a seasoned concept in Leuven. In the meantime, the concept was sprinkled with a new sauce, but the recipe remains unchanged: a cozy, casual café evening where singer-songwriters get the chance to completely do their own thing, where visitors can discover talent that is still hot and fresh off the griddle. Established values including Meskerem Mees, Selah Sue, Kids With Buns, and Johannes is zijn Naam have already warmed up the stage for new and bubbling blood such as Caspar Auwerkerken, Rosa Butsi, Noonzy, Isaac Roux, and and so many more. At the end of the evening, a surprise musician who is on the verge of a breakthrough always shines. Structures, chaos, patterns, or order? Anything goes, everything is allowed.
