KOPERGIETERY, KGbe & Grensgeval

SKRAM is a physical, immersive performance about wobbling, falling, and scrambling back up. Three acrobatic performers try to stay upright, literally and figuratively, while the ground shifts beneath their feet. Running and tumbling, they look for a hold. On each other. On an edge. Sometimes even on the hand of a spectator. With the audience all around and carried by haunting live music, an intense playing field is created in which flying, sliding, falling, and catching alternate at a rapid pace. Amidst all that movement, the question arises: should we keep striving for control, or does true strength lie in learning to wobble? SKRAM is an ode to resilience. To the courage to take risks, to fail, and yet to stand up again. The performance acknowledges a world of children and adults that never stands still, in which one balances daily between wanting, having to, and being able to. CC Maasmechelen has followed Grensgeval from the very beginning. The company demonstrates a fresh perspective by combining circus theater with other art forms. For example, Plock! , Murmur , KORROL , and iRRooTTaa have previously been on our stage, each one a physical, sensory, and visual gem. In this new performance, Grensgeval enters into an inspiring collaboration with KOPERGIETERY.
