Entrée Libre
Vernissage on Thursday, March 18, meeting at 6:30 PM at the Ribbon Museum.
Recently welcomed in residency at the Ribbon Museum, Leïla Pile, Alice Pandolfo and Antonella Valerio are brought together for the first time in a joint exhibition.
All three explore textiles as a space of thought, a tool of measurement, a terrain of experimentation or a lever of emancipation.
Their practices, distinct yet convergent, share a focus on movement, transformation, and the memory of gestures.
Chez Leïla Pile, the thread becomes a measurement and a sensitive archive. Through surveying, performance, and weaving, she composes topographies and installations where the body serves as a unit of measurement.
Alice Pandolfo creates installations resulting from the encounter between a space and its residual materials. In-situ cordage, luminous structures, or evolving pieces question tension, anchorage, and transformation.
Avec Antonella Valerio, textiles become a tool of circulation and transmission. Her committed work values textile waste, activates collaborative networks, and rehabilitates know-how through upcycled creations and participatory devices.
Together, their works weave a common cartography where the thread becomes a bond, a gesture, and a shared narrative.
Sunday, April 4, is the 1st Sunday of the month… and it's free!
Special opening from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.
