Ainara is a seventeen-year-old student at a Catholic high school who, to the great surprise of her family, announces that she wants to become a nun. Her father reacts hesitantly to the news. Her aunt, on the other hand, is convinced that Ainara, who lost her mother at a young age, is being manipulated by the church. Ainara’s decision exposes tensions between personal freedom, faith, and expectations. With subtle observations and sharp dialogues, an incisive portrait of a young girl who seeks her own path arises. The film had its world premiere at the Filmfestival van San Sebastián and was a huge success in Spain.
