Dead Ladies Show – Passa Porta

Dead Ladies Show is a sparkling café chantant in which women are central who shone during their lives but were often forgotten after their deaths. During each show, three narrators – passionate authors, actors, scientists, or artists – guide the audience through the life, work, and achievements of their top women. Auteur Gaea Schoeters compiles the shows and leads the whole thing in the right direction. Central is always a woman from literature, but female explorers, athletes, artists, and researchers can also pass in review. The program is musically enriched by singer Emma Posman, who, accompanied by pianist Lies Colman, pays tribute to a grande dame from the past. In the 13th edition, Angelo Tijssens reflects on the 17th-century opera singer Julie D’Aubigny, director Luanda Casella speaks about author Octavia Butler, and Ruth Joos de Braziliaanse praises architect Lina Bo Bardi.
