La Waai - Various

De Werft has a distinct tradition of offering opportunities to young makers and artists outside the established circuit. It is precisely in the alternative, underground scene, where bands experiment and genres blur, that the artistic innovations that fuel the mainstream culture of tomorrow lie. We are exploring a new track: La Waai. De Waai is being transformed into a black box with an intimate atmosphere for standing concerts, where the distance between band and audience remains small. The focus is on inspiring names from alternative genres, with room for local and regional talent. We are explicitly aiming for a younger audience and are moving the start time forward on weekday evenings so that we finish by 10 PM at the latest. Just like with Open Mic and Jazz Jam, these concerts are freely accessible via a simple prior registration. Keep an eye on our website and socials for the line-ups that we will announce in the autumn!
