MC Tom Cools receives Alexander Peeters and Laurien Vereecken during this Comedy Café Robbe Boons. We will supplement this line-up even further. You can read more about that on our website and socials!
Robbe Boons has been on the boards since 2023 and won the Lunatic Comedy Award in 2025 and was awarded the Jef Staes prize for beginning talent during the Gala of the Gouden Jefkes 2026. He brings a sharp set with voice imitations, self-mockery, and physical humor. A unique mix of engaged storytelling and unexpected 'tickles' that make you laugh - whether you want to or not. With his warm storytelling voice, he mercilessly takes both himself and his fellow citizens to task. Whether it's about Flemish dialects, fatherhood, or the French lesson: Robbe throws out everything he has, for the love of laughter! He wants to remind people that - despite everything - their glass is half full. Cheers!
Alexander Peeters is a musical homo who sprinkles confetti, irony, and optimism, even though he does not shy away from dark humor. With his unique playful, musical style, he provides a rainbow of the best kind, so prepare yourself for cabaret of the gayest kind. Besides bringing comedy, he also voices cartoons, can be heard as a podcast host, and releases music.
Laurien Vereecken is a comedian and author of the book Sex and the Shitty. She is a relatively well-behaved farmer's daughter who traded the field for first Ghent, then Brussels ('that is to say: Schaerbeek). In Brussel she is 1/2 of Choux Choux Comedy - the monthly Dutch-language comedy evening - where she alternately MCs or plays a set. Laurien talks about love, life, and disturbingly often about noodles with canned sausages. Ah, and about Derry Girls. Whatever you do: don't start about Australia, because yes, she lived there once.
Tom Cools is your host. Note: he sometimes sends his twin brother if he has to work for De Ideale Wereld, Extra Time, or as a stadium announcer at KVC Westerlo. But don't worry – you won't notice the difference!
