Hunter tries to shoot Deer.
All day long.
Deer narrowly escapes death.
Hunter returns home,
and crashes into Deer in the darkness.
Deer is still alive, but is in mortal agony.
Hunter is distraught.
Unable to kill,
Unable to save.
Meanwhile
a hundred Barking Dogs bark
in his head.
The little Finale van Hert is a poetic, dancing conversation between Hunter and Deer.
About being allowed to live.
About being allowed to die.
