If Mocht Brussel had an own acoustic, musical genre — like Lisbon has the fado or Buenos Aires the tango — then that would probably sound like Peixe e Limão. With a warm, melancholic voice, the trio reflects the soul of the European capital: a melting pot of sounds, flavors and cultures. Just as the city embraces the world, this adventurous trio enriches its repertoire with influences from diverse musical traditions – from bossa and flamenco to Irish folk – incorporated into highly personal songs.
The personalities of the musicians complement each other perfectly. Federico Bragetti approaches the cello in a unique way; he uses the instrument not only as a voice or bass, but also as a percussion instrument, which contributes to the rich sound textures of Peixe e Limão. Flavia Clementi, a singer at heart, started her singing career in a spontaneous way, but possesses a rare, natural musicality and a warm voice with which she manages to touch everyone. Thomas Van Bogaert is a classically trained guitarist who provides catchy melodies, but he also possesses the necessary 'street credibility' thanks to his years of experience as a street musician.
