Sander Boury - Jazz Cats Clubshow

Sander Boury begins his musical journey as a drummer, but during the covid period he deviates from that path when he discovers his affinity for piano and saxophone. Driven by curiosity and a desire to broaden his musical horizon, he teaches himself both instruments. In his self-written compositions, he manages to integrate this versatility perfectly and brings the sounds of drums, piano, saxophone, and a few other instruments together in an inimitable way. In the summer of 2023, Sander Boury opens his musical vision even further by collaborating with Jonathan Frederix (HEISA, Peuk, and The Shovels). Frederix brings his expertise in the field of percussion and drums, which gives Boury’s compositions an extra layer of rhythmic energy live. Together they perform Boury’s compositions via live looping and sampling, which you can best describe as a cinematic, eclectic mix with influences from neoclassical, jazz, and ethnic music. Boury’s debut album ‘Always In A Hurry For When The Time Is Right’ comes out in January 2025. In December 2025, he becomes a finalist of Soundtrack, where he also wins the audience prize. In addition, he strengthens his artistic trajectory through partnerships with other artists within artwork, video clips, short films, theater, and art films. For example, he collaborates with Tom Van Ryckeghem, Louise Degraeve, Wout Van Ackere, and Sebastian Josep Ferran Theuns.
