Jah Wobble plays Metal Box – Rebuilt in Dub

Yes! Jah Wobble, the living legend on four strings, is coming to Hasselt to play his complete arrangement of PiL’s Metal Box live. As co-founder of Public Image Ltd. (PiL) and one of the most influential bassists in post-punk history, Wobble developed a totally unique sound. His pulsating, hypnotic bass lines – heavily infused with dub and global sounds – formed the basis for an innovative style that has permanently influenced pop music since the late 70s. He worked with Brian Eno, Everything Is Recorded, CAN, The Edge, and just about everyone who scored a hit in the UK in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Wear something black, come and turn some tiles, and above all ask: “How Much Are They?”
