An absurd and tasty circus trip.
‘FOOD’ is a funny, absurd circus performance that drags you into the strange world of (over)consumption. On stage are four characters trying to satisfy their insatiable hunger – not only because they have to eat, but also because it brings pleasure: being together, tasting, smelling. But what happens when gluttony turns into destructive excess? What if the food runs out? What remains edible? In ‘FOOD’, Michael Zandl examines our boundless urge for consumption and its impact on people and the environment. The result is a fresh, surreal and surprising circus performance that mixes acrobatics and object manipulation with subtle humor and a healthy dose of imagination.
