It’s the story of a chick who breaks out of stagnation to blow up the hetero model that is suffocating her. On stage, she challenges it to a duel in an act of quiet and jubilant liberation. Driven by the urgency to speak, she launches the tracks of her own life and confronts romantic love, the traditional family, and all that jazz. Between a concert atmosphere and a suburban garden, she takes us into her first year of motherhood, her life in co-housing, or the story of a friend's death. From these sometimes murky zones, she unearths rage and an emancipatory joy. Step by step, a rumble grows within her and all around... A new world then takes shape in gestation where one could say “there was happiness, and we lived”. NORMCORE is a funny and bubbling one-woman show, where a chick kicks an asphyxiating relationship model. An intimate fiction carried by rap, electro, and neo-soul.
