Docfest 2026

Who am I? A simple question, with anything but a simple answer. Because who you are is never completely fixed. You are constantly growing and changing, just like the world around us. From November 17 to 22, Docfest dives into the theme of identity with a new series of strong documentaries. You will meet a family that has lived in the same street for generations, artists who claim their place, people who fight together for recognition or go in search of their origins themselves. And after the film? Then we simply continue. Each screening gets an extra experience, together with a Bruges partner. Een Drag High-Tea, Local Lunch, café-chantant about forgotten women, exhibitions of Bruges talent, and even a blind-date film of which you only discover what you will get to see in your cinema seat. Docfest does not give ready-made answers, but a different perspective. Because everyone blossoms in a unique way. And that is precisely what makes our identity so fascinating.
