Viv Li, a Chinese wannabe artist, accidentally ends up in the vibrant alternative culture scene of Berlin after the pandemic. Caught between her traditional origins and a new environment, she starts to look differently at herself, the world, and China. But the more she adapts, the more lost she feels. In Two Mountains weighing down my Chest tells Viv's story in a personal and often humorous way about her search for identity and self-acceptance. What initially seems like a contrast between her roots and the rather alternative Berlin quickly grows into a reflection on the influence of our environment on our identity.
