The Dollmaker

Tomás is a charming man who cares for his sick mother, works at the video store, and collects dolls—but not just any dolls. He has a macabre obsession with handmade dolls. When the peace in the village is brutally disrupted by the sudden disappearance of a young woman, initially no one seems overly concerned. That is, until the determined Inspector Porter arrives in the village and throws himself into the investigation into the missing persons. The somewhat eccentric Tomás quickly catches Porter's eye, and it is here, too, that Porter believes he is uncovering the truth. Meanwhile, young women continue to disappear, and the events transform into a bloody nightmare where the line between reality and madness blurs into a surreal, Lynch-esque atmosphere.
