Wicker

On the edge of a seaside village lives a single fisherwoman (Olivia Colman, The Favourite): headstrong, free-spirited, and the target of mockery. When she has had enough of her narrow-minded villagers, she orders her ideal husband from the local basket weaver (Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones)… made of reed. To her astonishment, this extraordinary reed man (Alexander Skarsgård, The Northman) turns out more sensitive and talented than she ever dared dream. Their improbable love story quickly causes outrage, jealousy, and complete chaos in the conservative village. Wicker is a delightfully quirky and funny fable that beneath its playful exterior grows into a pressing feminist portrait on desire, freedom, and the expectations society imposes on women. With a fantastic cast of Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, Peter Dinklage, and Elizabeth Debicki (The Crown).
