A philosopher, together with a child and an adult, investigates the great riddle of life. Returning to the origin of the world, the trio sets out together to reinvent it. A performance for younger, young, older, and old.
What does it mean to live? To unravel this riddle, a philosopher, a child, and an adult undertake a journey. The stage is empty. Yet the philosopher and the child constantly see mysterious animals and undiscovered landscapes. For them, the world is at every moment inhabited by other life forms than our own: wolves, bacteria, olive trees, or polar bears. Their curiosity is too great not to follow in their footsteps. But for the adult who follows them, the stage is truly empty. Animals have not populated his mind and his nights for a long time. What kind of game is this? Do they really mean this? Hesitantly, he accepts the invitation to enter the world of this woman and this child and to loosen up his mind (and ours).
Together they discover a world that has not been destroyed by the belief that we humans on this earth are the only actors in a setting of things.
De Wereld Herbeginnen calls our place among everything that lives into question. How can we rethink this world in a playful way that can seduce both child and adult?
