Dune: Part Two

The year 10191. Paul Atreides is still stuck on the desert planet Arrakis, after his family was betrayed and murdered there by their archenemies, the Harkonnens. They are reclaiming Arrakis because of the lucrative monopoly on the unique resource spice. Paul is accompanied by Chani, a mysterious woman who previously appeared in his visions. She belongs to the Fremen, the inhabitants of the desert planet who have managed to adapt perfectly to the inhospitable environment. Paul will have to choose between the love of his life and the fate of the universe to prevent the terrible future that he alone has foreseen. For part two, Villeneuve managed to snare an even larger international star cast, with alongside Timothée Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name, Wonka) and Zendaya (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Oscarwinnaars Javier Bardem and Christopher Walken; Oscargenomineerden Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Charlotte Rampling and other European top talents like Stellan Skarsgård, Léa Seydoux and Rebecca Ferguson. Part Two managed to convert two of his five Oscar nominations.
