Step out of the classroom and dive into the streets of Ghent. During this interactive city walk, students discover that design is much more than just a pretty object. They are introduced to designers who do not accept the world as it is, but tackle it actively, and look at how design responds to today's social challenges. The guide challenges the class to look critically at the environment and surprises them along the way with mysterious objects that spark dialogue. Concrete examples concerning urban mining, fair fashion, inclusion and reuse are discussed. The walk was developed together with students of Kunsthumaniora Sint-Lucas Gent: a tour by young people, for young people.
