Des chimères dans la tête Dance + 8 years Sylvain Groud / Françoise Pétrovitch / Hervé Plumet At the crossroads of visual arts and dance, Des chimères dans la tête invites young and old to dive into the abundant imagination of childhood. The show is led by Sylvain Groud, choreographer and director of the Ballet du Nord – Centre Chorégraphique National de Roubaix Hauts-de-France, which immediately places the proposal within a high-level choreographic standard. Alongside him, visual artist Françoise Pétrovitch and audiovisual creator Hervé Plumet compose a universe where drawing, image, and movement dialogue with great precision. In the center of the stage, a screen becomes the playground for strange, monstrous, and fascinating creatures. Hidden behind the set, three performers extend the drawings in fragments: an arm, a leg, a hand appear and become paws, wings, antennae, or hair. Little by little, the chimeras overflow the frame, leave the image, and take shape in the dance. Between phantasmagoria and touches of humor, the show plays with optical illusions and joyfully disturbs our perception. Drawing, video, costumes, and movement dialogue in a universe where everything seems possible, as if the imagination were suddenly coming to life before our eyes.
