De Agnès Limbos Face to Face is a creation of object and figure theater that questions our relationship to power, intimacy, and narrative, based on a simple device: a long oval table. Inspired by the striking image of political negotiation tables - places of decisions, power struggles, and eloquent silences - the play transforms this space into a poetic and dramaturgical playground. Sitting face to face, Agnès Limbos and two playing partners create stories from gleaned objects, ordinary or unusual. Taken from the chaos of the world, these objects become characters, landscapes, or metaphors. They tell of love, justice, domination, faith, or loneliness. The table welcomes in turn a fallen queen, microscopic in the midst of the pomp and splendor of great banquets, businessmen busy with the emptiness of their dialogues, suitors in desire for conquest never satisfied, and loneliness, above all. A fourth performer, a butler figure, circulates the objects and watches over the ritual of the performance. Through the precise gesture of manipulation and the evocative power of the object, the show offers a theater of detail and imagination, where the infinitely small illuminates the great mechanics of the world.
