'Skin in the Game*' takes place at an elite school, where teenagers are prepared to become the future architects of the world, if necessary at each other's expense, in a system where money is the highest good. Every lesson is steeped in the value of profit and power. Eat or be eaten.
That mutual competition becomes bitter earnest when the world becomes the target of a mysterious threat. A group of students is stuck in a classroom, together with a principal and a teacher. Outside, chaos reigns. Who saves their own skin? Who will be sacrificed first? Who sells their soul?
Rashif El Kaoui and Sofie Joan Wouters met years ago as young players in the fABULEUS production Wolfsroedel (2006). After their successful directorial debut De Kwetsbaren (2023), they let us look critically at the rules of our society again. On stage is a diverse team of young people, supplemented by the young actor Zakaria Ridouani (hetpaleis & De Nwe Tijd and Milo - VTM) and Sofie Joan Wouters (Laika, FroeFroe and Dertigers - VRT1).
