W.E.R.F. records invites Laniakea x Jozef Dumoulin

Cosmic jazz without gravity: beyond the borders of the familiar Laniakea is the duo of drummer/percussionist Nicolas Chkifi (whom we also know at W.E.R.F. records from FNUSSJEN) and saxophonist Jeroen Van Herzeele, a fixture in Belgian jazz who has been releasing records for more than three decades. For the release of their new record - their first at W.E.R.F. records - they enlist the help of another special musician from the Belgian music scene: keyboardist and Fender Rhodes-magician Jozef Dumoulin. The sound world they create together is clearly inspired by the futurism of Sun Ra and other jazz cosmonauts. Via contemporary soundscapes and improvisations with titles like Andromeda, Malin I, or ESO 146 – IG 005, Laniakea takes you on an impressive intergalactic journey. Fasten your seatbelts!
