Film Food Fest: Land for LifeWhat if agriculture does not only produce food, but also restores the soil, strengthens biodiversity, and reconnects people with each other?
Wereldraad Anzegem invites you to a free film evening about sustainable food and agriculture. On Monday, December 7, discover the documentary Land for Life at the Gemeentepunt, an inspiring film by Rik van der Linden about regenerative agriculture and the future of our food system.
About the film: Land for the Leven
Wat does it mean to uproot your life and choose agriculture that heals the earth?
Land for Life follows four Lenteland farms where farmers choose a different way of interacting with the earth. From city life to the countryside, from a dream to daily practice: the documentary shows how they are building healthy soil, greater biodiversity, and local food networks.
The film shows how agriculture can not only yield food, but also contribute to a stronger community and a greater connection between humans and nature. It is a hopeful story about the agriculture of today and tomorrow, which makes it clear that change does not have to start somewhere in the distant future, but is already being put into practice now.
After the film, there is room for a post-screening discussion.
Food.Film.Fest.: watching a different food system together
With this film evening, Anzegem is participating in Food.Film.Fest., a film festival by Voedsel Anders. Local groups, organizations, and volunteers are organizing film screenings on sustainable food and agriculture in various locations in Flanders and the Netherlands.
Voedsel Anders is a network of 27 member organizations working toward a world where everyone has access to good and healthy food. At the core of this are local, fair, and organic food: food that is good for people and nature, with a fair price for the farmer.
By screening films and bringing people together, Food.Film.Fest. aims to stimulate the conversation about our food system and inspire change.
