Everyone knows a number of bands whose hits you can name at most three of, but upon closer inspection, you find yourself singing along to half of their back catalogue. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers was such a band for many music fans. In his early years, Petty was still somewhat in the shadow of Bob Dylan and Neil Young, but the talent proved too great. Van Stevie Nicks and Nils Lofgren to Dave Grohl, all of them proved to be heavily impressed by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Unfortunately, we have had to carry on without the frontman for a while now, but thanks to Petty’s Heartbreakers, his legendary classics are coming back to life.
