Black Box Revelation, one of Belgium's most acclaimed rock bands, understands that enduring appeal of guitars that cry, scream or sing and grooves that send thousands of people into ecstasy. It is a continuous quest for the duo Jan Paternoster (vocals/guitar) and Dries van Dijck (drums). Although that foundation remains just as strongly present since the band's founding twenty years ago, the austere advance of the digital world pulls just as persistently on the other side. Ultimately, breaking points emerge, and within these new fault lines lies an abundance of possibilities to explore.
On their upcoming, self-titled album (out March 12, 2027) they seek out the contrasts between gritty fuzz and 4K resolution. Electronic experiments, vocal samples, blues-inspired rock 'n' roll… everything side by side, without the roots disappearing. "This album marks a fresh new start for us, with our backpacks full from the past 20 years," says Van Dijck.
