The return of Oathbreaker is more than just a reunion: it confirms once again the urgency, relevance, and emotional depth that have always distinguished them. With special guests Portrayal of Guilt. Oathbreaker is a genre-crossing band whose sound brings together post-metal, black metal, hardcore, and shoegaze into a deeply emotional and intense musical experience. The band, which was founded in Belgium in the late 2000s, quickly grew into an important player in the international underground scene, known for their unwavering intensity, raw vulnerability, and compelling live performances. Their full album 'Rheia' from 2016 marked a creative and emotional highlight — a very personal, cathartic album that resonated far beyond genre boundaries. By combining vulnerability with fierceness, Rheia redefined how extreme music could sound and feel, and it continues to exert influence on a new generation years after its release. After a break that began in 2018, the band returns to the stage in 2026. Although the members remained creatively active during Oathbreaker's rest period (with projects like Wiegedood, Siem Reap and Predatory Void), the power and importance of Oathbreaker's music never really disappeared. Their legacy is not only intact, but continues to grow. Over Portrayal of Guilt Door the years, the respected trio Portrayal of Guilt from Austin has toured the whole world. They have created their own musical ecosystem in a way where they did not make compromises, left room for free experiments, and accepted labels like ‘threatening’, ‘compelling’, and ‘a must to hear’ as the only descriptions. Portrayal of Guilt immediately made an impression in underground circles with their debut album ‘Let Pain Be Your Guide’ by combining nihilistic hardcore, black metal, classic screamo, and imaginative textures. ‘We Are Always Alone’ and ‘CHRISTF*CKER’ LPs followed in 2021, the band's breakthrough albums that undermined their dedication to the genre, with nods to industrial, post-metal, sludge, and even post-hardcore, while strengthening the band's tendency to experiment. The fearless spirit of Portrayal of Guilt has reshaped their own sound as classical (Devil Music EP) and EBM / goth (CHRISTF*CKER II) on more recent releases. And although the pace of releases and the evolution of the band has remained stable, the way of working of Portrayal of Guilt has ensured that their audience continues to crave the band's ever-evolving sound. The new album ‘…Beginning of the End’ combines both groove and avant-garde, in which the band reaches back to the raw, nerve-wracking intensity of their earlier work and at the same time plays with nu-metal, alternative rock, triphop, dark ambient, and other diverse influences. This latest album shows that the band has explored all the dark corners of heavier music and has bundled their ten years of innovation and experience into a unique feat of strength.
