four seasons changed - BRYGGEN & Jolente De Maeyer

It goes from Vivaldi via Richter to Vandevelde in this concert dance in which musicians move and dancers make music Max Richter dismantled Vivaldi's ‘Four Seasons’ and used it to build his own ground truth. Michiel Vandevelde does the same with the traditional concert format. BRYGGEN plays Richter's score from memory and traces patterns across the stage; a solo dancer moves in between. Each season gets its own choreographic tradition: spring à la Isadora Duncan, summer as Anna Halprin, autumn with Pina Bausch, winter according to Trisha Brown. A multisensory ode in which music and dance sniff, fight, and desire each other.
