The four musicians of the Ghent jazz collective The Green Machine pop up everywhere in the Belgian jazz scene. They share a fondness for improvisation and interaction. The music moves smoothly between jazz, free improvisation and contemporary influences, with room for both composition and the unexpected.
Since their first EP The Engine the band continues to build on their own sound. Tight passages and open improvisations alternate. One moment the direction is clear, the next they surprise with a new course.
They are coming to Lokeren to present their first untitled LP: a new step for a group that searches for what emerges when four musicians give each other space.
That promises to be anything but boring.
