For those curious about the fascinating history of the Theater, we organize guided tours on the Sundays of Foyer Matinee.
Families with children can go on a voyage of discovery through the building as early as the morning, thanks to the imaginative audio guide Tillies toer.
Do you feel like standing on that big stage yourself? Do you wonder where those paintings on the ceiling come from, with all those naked people? Or who has walked on the majestic stairs of the royal entrance hall? Do you know what oddities are left behind in the cloakroom? And what does an artist's dressing room look like?
Tillie?
Tillie grew up as the director's child in the Theater. As a result, she knows the building like the back of her hand. She takes you on a tour and talks endlessly about that wonderful theater building, from the highest balcony to the orchestra pit under the stage.
Theatermakers Sofie Palmers (BRONKS, fABULEUS) and Katrien Pierlet (Studio Orka) created an audio story for children about our pearl of a Theater. That became the imaginative audio guide Tillies toer.
Sofie Palmers and Katrien Pierlet
We asked theater makers Sofie Palmers (BRONKS, fABULEUS, hetpaleis) and Katrien Pierlet (Studio Orka, Ultima Thule, BRONKS) to create an audio guide for our pearl of a theater.
They previously made the successful podcast Radio Fiona and know better than anyone how to dive into a child's imagination. They guarantee a beautiful story, in which, besides humor, there is also room for emotion and in which children learn something about theater and the rich history of our beautiful theater in a playful way.
For Extra
Voor schools and groups, we also organize tours upon request. New for schools is the technical tour with a specific look at everything related to lighting and sound techniques.
