Docfest ✹ L'Éclipse de la Lune Rouge

Two events radically change the life of director Caroline Guimbal: her mother Nathalie gets cancer and Caroline herself discovers she is pregnant. For two years, she closely follows her mother. She listens to her memories, depicts her deep connection with nature, and shows the gradual decline caused by her illness. A layered dialogue arises between past and present, between farewell and new life. While the director captures her mother's life story, a personal quest also unfolds in which she confronts her own experiences with violence and abuse. How has her mother's past, and the men who hurt and exploited her, also shaped her own identity? A gripping film about grief, trauma, and the traces passed down from generation to generation. together with Anne Verbeure --- Pré-Docfest screening Thursday, November 12 - 20:00 Cinema Lumière + Expo + talk: Can you describe your room to me?
